A high-level sailor from the Paris region, Jérémie Mion took his first tacks on Lake Cergy-Pontoise, an unusual setting for a future sailing champion. However, his passion and determination quickly led him to the top level. He managed to balance sport and studies, specializing in Olympic sailing in the 470 class while obtaining his physiotherapy degree.
He became a prominent figure in Olympic sailing after participating in the Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020 Games, and then the Paris 2024 Games, teaming up with Camille Lecointre. He continues to climb the ranks with the goal of winning a medal at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
For this new Olympic cycle, he has set himself a significant challenge: a shift to the 49er class, a demanding dinghy that pushes the limits of performance and technique.
Beyond Olympic sailing, he has also ventured into offshore racing, achieving a strong performance by finishing 3rd in the 2021 Transat Jacques Vabre, an experience that highlights his versatility and talent.
Driven by this dynamic of progress and the pursuit of excellence, he joins Sailing Génération and works within the inshore sailing division, an area in which he excels and aims to push even further.
